My second interview with Sarah Wigglesworth went well, I got to meet the staff who all seemed very nice, and I start next Monday! (They have to buy a computer and clear a space for me in the interim). 8 or 9 people in the office, a female director who is also a university professor, an experimental approach to materials (I was shown a project proposed to be made of Cob which is a local mud walling method, covered with a black rubber skin), and an office sustainability agenda – what more could I ask for?! Will be a steep learning curve to start with (they use macs not pcs, and vectorworks not autocad) but should be interesting. So my days (or day) of being an whingeing british unemployed bum are over!
